Literature Text

As the Maestro enters the cathedral of old
The creaking door is solemnly greeted by crows
Like children of his shadow they encamp all around
Ravenously awaiting the banquet of sound

His cloak dances round his feet like children behind him
He sits, grey eyes commanding glacial silence
As skeletal hands touch the porcelain keys
The organ awakens and commences to speak

With a boisterous voice the ornate silence is shattered
Like a gossiping crowd the crows also chatter
With delight they revel in its terrible tales
Of gallows and death and malevolent gales

The chords reverberate as a clock on the hour
The ghoulish chorus wails like a psychotic choir
Notes tempestuously roar in a torrent of rain
And fingers crackle and dance enjoying the pain

In the midst of the maelstrom, the crows cease to chat
The Maestro convulses with laughter, his wrinkles relax
As he reopens his eyes lips crack open to say....

"What a nice little melody. Enough happiness for today."
Will do a 6-part illustration based on this.

I kept picturing the Grim Reaper for some reason. heh. I enjoyed envisioning the various metaphors and analogies you made. :) "The chords reverberate as a clock on the hour" -- I can imagine how they would sound strong and powerful, without any hesitance played.
